Introduction

Oriental wormwood oil  oil is extracted from plants like Artemisia scoparia. It has various properties and uses.
It contains many terpenoids like α -pinene, which give it unique smell and bioactivity.
Flavonoids include scoparone, scopoletin, with antioxidant and anti – inflammatory effects.
Coumarins like capillarisin endow it with certain medicinal value.
Mainly from dried above – ground parts of Artemisia scoparia or A. scoparia var. przewalskii in Compositae.
Harvested in spring (6 – 10 cm seedlings) or early – bloom autumn, then processed.
Origin: Artemisia scoparia widely distributed in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Anhui, etc.
A. scoparia var. przewalskii distributed in Northeast, North, Shandong, Jiangsu.

Extraction Methods
