Introduction
Jojoba oil is not a true oil, but a liquid wax ester derived from the seeds of jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis). It is a perennial evergreen shrub native to the arid regions of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. Jojoba oil is light yellow, clear and transparent, has good stability, and is not easily oxidized and deteriorated.
Ingredients: Vitamins, proteins, etc..
Advantages
Good skin affinity: Its structure is similar to that of human skin sebum. It can quickly penetrate into the deep layer of the skin and form a thin protective film to prevent moisture loss. Also, it won’t clog pores and is suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.
High stability: It has excellent antioxidant properties and can stay in good condition for a long time at room temperature without deteriorating, so you don’t need to add too many preservatives.
Refreshing and non-greasy: Although it is an oily substance, when you apply it to the skin, it feels refreshing. It doesn’t leave a greasy residue behind, and your skin will feel comfortable after using it.
Application
Skin care products: People widely use it in various skin care products, such as creams, lotions, essences, eye creams, etc. In moisturizing products, it enhances the ability to lock in moisture; in anti-wrinkle products, it takes advantage of its antioxidant and nourishing properties to reduce wrinkle formation.
Hair care products: People add it to shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, hair care essential oils and other products. For example, some hair care essential oils contain a high amount of jojoba oil, which can deeply nourish the hair and repair damaged strands.
Makeup products: In some makeup products like lipsticks, lip glosses, foundations, etc., jojoba oil can boost the product’s moisturizing and ductility. It makes the makeup apply more smoothly while protecting the skin and lips.
Aromatherapy: You can use it as a base oil to dilute single essential oils for massage and aromatherapy. It helps the essential oils get better absorbed by the skin, and it also provides a certain soothing and relaxing effect.
