Basic Information9: Its extraction source is the fresh rhizome of Zingiber officinale Rosc., a plant of the Zingiberaceae family. It appears as a reddish – brown to dark brown oily liquid, with a strong characteristic aroma and pungency of ginger. It needs to be stored in a closed container at low temperature and protected from light.

Main Components: It mainly contains gingerol, zingerone, shogaol, citral, ar – curcumene, etc., as well as vitamins, carotenoids, curcumin, phytosterols, etc. Among them, gingerol is the main component determining the flavor and taste of ginger oleoresin.

Production Process: Usually, the dried ginger slices are crushed at low temperature, and then the proprietary technology of supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction – separation – purification is adopted for production.

Product Characteristics: About 45% of it is volatile oil, and about 20% is gingerol. It has a pure and rich aroma, and at the same time, it has a strong characteristic pungency of ginger. It is soluble in ethanol and completely miscible with vegetable oil. The aroma intensity is 1:50, that is, the aroma and flavor of each gram of ginger oleoresin are equivalent to 50 grams of pure raw powder (dried ginger) and 300 grams of fresh ginger.

Application Fields: It is widely used in food, health products, daily – chemical, cosmetics and other fields. It can be added to ginger – based beverages, ginger tea, soy sauce, beer, milk and other foods, as well as cosmetics, SPA, aromatherapy, toothpaste, soap and other daily – chemical products, and can also be used for flavoring and seasoning cooked meat products, convenience foods, puffed foods, etc.
