Introduction
The composition of Angelica oil is complex.
It mainly includes ligustilide, n – butylidenephthalide, thymol, angelone, oleic acid, linoleic acid, etc.
Ligustilide has a relatively high content and is an important active ingredient.
It’s usually a pale to dark yellow clear liquid with a strong unique aroma.
Solubility: Soluble in ethanol, ether, etc., slightly soluble in water.
Density and boiling point: Density is about 0.9 – 1.1g/cm³, boiling point ranges from 200℃ – 300℃.
Extraction Methods
Steam Distillation Method
