Introduction

Bitter almond oil is extracted from bitter almonds.
Its main components are about 90% unsaturated fatty acids like oleic and linoleic acids, also amygdalin and hydrocyanic acid.
Amygdalin can decompose into hydrocyanic acid, making it toxic.
It’s usually a colorless to light – yellow transparent liquid with a strong, rich bitter almond aroma.
