Production Method

Which are decompose into geraniol and calcium chloride when exposed to water. And the extracted oil layer is washed in warm water and then distilled by steam to obtain pure products.
Citral was reduce in dilute ethanol solution of acetic acid with the participation of sodium amalgam. Or from linalool in boric acid or borate catalyzed by co-heating with water.
