Intro:
Luteolin is a representative natural flavonoid, belonging to weakly acidic tetrahydroxy flavonoid.
It widely distributed in plants, mainly in medicines such as honeysuckle, chrysanthemum, schizonepeta, white prunella, thyme, cabbage, cabbage, cauliflower, beet, broccoli, carrot and other vegetables. Gentian family plant wet flat bud (Gentianopsispaludosa), patrinae family black water valeriana (Valeriana urensis smir) and other plants. Luteolin is a yellow crystalline powder.
Chemical property
Slightly soluble in water, weakly acidic, soluble in alkaline solutions from the Resedaceae family of luteos herb Mignonette.
Solubility
Luteolin is isolated from ethanol as a golden spicule containing a crystal water.
Soluble in ethanol and ether; Slightly soluble in hot water, difficult to dissolve in cold water.
The solution is a pleasing pale yellow color, soluble in 10% sodium hydroxide solution, and has a dark yellow color. Stable under normal conditions.
Pharmacological action
1. Anti-tumor: The inhibitory effect of luteolin on the proliferation of tumor cells is mainly through inhibiting the activity of certain kinases in cells and blocking the cell cycle.
2. Antioxidant: The antioxidant effect of luteolin mainly manifested in its own oxidation reaction as a reducing agent, enhancing the activity of the antioxidant system of the organism.
3, anti-inflammation: the anti-inflammatory activity of luteolin is mainly manifested in its ability to reduce the activity of inflammatory factor transcription regulators, reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and inflammatory mediators.
4, neuroprotective effect: luteolin has a protective effect on the learning and memory ability of the nervous system.
