Introduction

Orange oil is extracted from dried tangerine peel of Rutaceae. Common varieties are Chazhi mandarin, Dahongpao, Wenzhou mandarin, etc.
Volatile oils: Include monoterpenoids like limonene, β – myrcene, α – pinene, and sesquiterpenoids like nerolidol, farnesol, giving unique aroma and bio – activity.
Flavonoids: Contain hesperidin, naringin, neohesperidin, having antioxidant and anti – inflammatory effects.
