1. Chemical composition

Volatile oil: atractylon, β-eudesmol, atractylenolide I-III, mainly containing Atractylon, Atractylenolide I-III. With spleen strengthening, anti-inflammatory effects. atractylodin: Rich in hinesol, atractylodin and α-pinene, it is characterized by dampness and antibacterial. Polysugars: Enhance immunomodulatory function (e.g., white rhizoma polysaccharide). Others: Amino acids, sterols and trace elements.

2. Physical characteristics of Rhizoma atractylodis Oil

Appearance: Light yellow to dark brown transparent liquid (depending on plant species and extraction process). Smell: White atractylodes oil with mild woody aroma, atractylodes oil more spicy, slightly camphor smell. Solubility: soluble in ethanol, oil, slightly soluble in water. Stability: Sensitive to light and high temperature, it should  seal away from light.
