Source

There are two main sources of Thymol Crystals: one is extracted from natural products, and the other is synthetic. Due to the limited natural resources and high extraction cost and environmental pressure, the main method is synthetic thymol.

Thymol Crystals has the characteristics of phenolic drug action, bactericidal and antiseptic effect on fungi and actinomycetes. weak effect on gram-negative bacteria, bactericidal force is stronger than phenol, skin mucosa irritation is less than phenol. its toxicity is about 1/10 of phenol. It has a strong sensory paralysis effect. Thymol is fully absorbed by the gut when taken orally, and approximately 50% of the metabolites in the body, in the form of thymol combined with glucuronic acid and sulfuric acid, are excreted in urine.

Apply of Thymol Crystals

Baisfu Thymol Crystals effect is stronger than phenol, and the toxicity is low. Has bactericidal and fungicidal effect on oral and throat mucosa, has anti-corrosion and local anesthesia effect on caries cavity. Use for disinfection of oral and throat, dermatophytosis, radiomycosis and otitis. It can promote the movement of tracheal cilia, is conducive to the secretion of tracheal mucus. Easy to play the role of expectorant, and has a bactericidal effect. So it can use to treat bronchitis, whooping cough and so on.
